In 2006 took place in GuangZhou the International Conference "Megacities". Ricard Pié and Juliana Ting presented the lecture "The construction of the Europan High-Speed Train Network", published as an article in the proceedings.The article examines the possibility to consider a spatial planning for Europe based on the advent of the High-Speed Train. The introduction of this new means of transport allows us to imagine a European megacity composed of many cities of different sizes connected by a high-speed network.
