In 1979, the first Catalan government after Franco's dictatorship and the city councils carried on the revision of the whole existing town plans. Right after the revision of every plan in the Costa Brava and just before the next revision it emerged the need to debate on the state-of-art at that moment. In 1989, Ricard Pié participated in the conference that took place to analyse the revisions with the lecture: "Els plans generals de Sant Feliu de Guíxols i Platja d'Aro, una reconversió urbanística inacabada".
